WARREN COUNTY, N.Y. – A 33-year-old woman has been arrested, after Sheriff's deputies say she had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.

Abby Berkheimer was arrested when deputies say they got a call from a 15-year-old boy's parents saying he wasn't home on time. They say they found the teen at Berkheimer's home and that the two had a sexual relationship.

Deputies say Berkheimer is a staff assistant at Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls.
According to police, that's where she met the teen last March and their relationship began in August.

Investigators say they have no reason to believe any illegal activity happened at the library.

“They strive very hard to maintain the integrity of their organization. It's a great organization and I'm sure this is not indicative of a corporate mindset by any means,” said Lt. Steve Stockdale.

Berkheimer has been charged with rape, criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child. She was originally taken to the Warren County Correctional Facility, but has since posted bail.
