Indictment in fatal hit and run

TOWN OF HOOSICK, N.Y. -- The driver accused in a fatal hit and run has been indicted.

Police say Becky Goodermote was driving on Route 22 in the Town of Hoosick in September when she hit Matthew Ratelle, who was riding his bicycle on the shoulder.

Police say Ratelle was thrown about 30 yards. They say despite wearing a helmet, he suffered serious injuries and later died at the hospital.

Goodermote is accused of driving off without reporting the incident. She faces 14 counts including manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter, driving while impaired by drugs, and leaving the scene of a fatal accident without reporting it.
