CATSKILL, N.Y. -- Almost 8,000 hens were lost in a Catskill fire on Sunday.

According to firefighters, the coop was a total loss.

No people were hurt.

They say wind was a big factor, causing the fire to spread, and making it hard for firefighters to put out.

The fire does not appear to be suspicious, but crews are still investigating.
