GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. -- A public forum on the New York SAFE Act is slated to take place Monday night in Fulton County.

Assemblyman Marc Butler is looking for support in having the SAFE Act reversed. New York State Rifle and Pistol Association President and NRA board member Tom King will be on hand for the meeting along with Butler. They argue the law infringes on their Second Amendment rights.

The purpose of the meeting is to allow the public to ask questions regarding the law before it goes into effect in April.

Monday meeting will take place at 6:30pm at the Pine Tree Rifle Club in Gloversville. Another meeting will take place Wednesday night in Herkimer County.
