Rensselaer man charged with raping two teens
RENSSELAER, N.Y. -- A Rensselaer man was arrested on charges that he sexually abused two young girls.
According to Rensselaer police, detectives determined that John Halacy, 23, had been sexually abusing a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old between Dec. 1, 2012 and Feb. 8, 2013.
Halacy is charged with use of a child in a sexual performance, five counts of second-degree rape, eight counts of second-degree criminal sex act, five counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, all felonies, as well as two misdemeanor counts of sexual abuse.
Halacy was arraigned and sent to the Rensselaer County Jail without bail.
