OLIVE, N.Y. -- A kitchen fire damaged a home in Ulster County.

Fire crews were called to a home on Dancing Rock Road in Olive. They say the homeowner was cooking and was the one who called for help.

The fire chief says the home sustained heavy fire damage.

"The house is not livable at this time due to the water and smoke damage. There is pretty heavy damage to the kitchen. It is going to be deemed uninhabitable at this time," said Olive Fire Chief Chris Winne.

No one was hurt.
