STOCKPORT, N.Y. -- A woman jumps from her two story apartment building in Columbia County into the arms of two firemen.

The fire broke out at an apartment complex at the end of Pats Lane in Stockport just after 8 a.m.

Kristen Kyle Clause says she woke up to a room filled with smoke. Clause jumped from her apartment without any shoes or coat.

The firemen then rushed her to their car to keep warm, but her cat unfortunately did not make it out.

Officials say the fire is believed to have started in the kitchen.
