TROY, N.Y. -- Construction is underway on a new building in Troy that will help people in need.
Unity House will soon have a new community resource center, called "The Front Door." Some services include mental health, housing and employment training. Leaders say the center will help people throughout Rensselaer County.
"Provide services to people living in poverty. People with serious mental illness. Families facing any kind of emergency or crisis and people at risk of homelessness. All under one roof. Our meals program will also be housed here at the front door," said David Ellis, Unity House Capital Campaign Co-Chairs.
The facility is expected to be complete this fall.
