SCHENECTADY COUNTY, N.Y. -- As Schenectady County continues to crack down on guns, the sheriff’s office is holding another gun buyback event.

The county has been holding these buybacks on a regular basis throughout the county.
Today's event is at the Mount Pleasant Boys and Girls Club in the city of Schenectady. That's located at 1104 Webster Street. The event runs through 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

Officials are offering gift cards between $25 and $250 to those turning in guns. The Program has accumulated 51 handguns and 46 rifles and shotguns, as well as 12 non-working guns so far.

It's open only to residents of Schenectady County.
