ALBANY, N.Y. -- Police have arrested an Albany man they say robbed a convenience store at knife point and then threatened to stab an officer.

Police say it happened at R & J Grocery and Deli on Clinton Avenue around 11 a.m. Friday.

Officers arrested Anwar Smickle, 29, and charged him with robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing a police officer and resisting arrest.

Smickle was arraigned and sent to Albany County Jail.
