CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. -- Clifton Park's youth hockey hosted its seventh annual "Coaches for Charity Game."
Shen and Shaker's varsity coaches hit the ice to raise money for a good cause. All proceeds of this event went to the Chris Stewart and Deanna Rivers scholarship funds. The two teens, who went to Shen, were killed in a crash on the Northway in December.
"This year, we did a something a little special. We brought the Shen and Shaker varsity hockey players to show the joining of the two schools over this tragedy," said Amy Moffre, Clifton Park Youth Hockey Vice President.
Some of the proceeds will also go to help with medical expenses for Shen student Matt Hardy and Shaker student Bailey Wind. The pair were seriously injured in the same crash.
