Sentencing adjourned for man convicted of shooting Troy teen
TROY, N.Y. -- The 22-year-old man convicted of shooting a Troy teen was supposed to be sentenced Friday, but the sentencing has been adjourned.

Shateek Lanier was convicted in January on attempted murder charges. He was originally charged with assault and criminal use of a fireman before a grand jury upgraded the charges.

Police say Lanier shot the 17-year-old several times in the leg on 10th Street last May.

Rensselaer County District Attorney Richard McNally says Lanier is facing 25 years in prison.

The victim's name has not been released.

Lanier's sentencing has been adjourned until April 4.
