ALBANY, N.Y. -- It was a chance for job seekers to meet dozens of employers all in one place as CapitalAreaHelpWanted.com held a career fair. It was the company's second career fair ever.
More than 20 employers were on hand and organizers say all of the companies represented are currently looking for employees.
A sales rep from the company says the fair was a success based on how many people came out.
"We probably have about 700 or more attendees, as far as we know. We're taking applications. We had 400 advanced reservations, which is huge," said Darla Jowett, Account Executive for CapitalAreaHelpWanted.com.
"It's been interesting. It's been a good experience to try to talk to different employers, trying to find out what they have out there," job hunter Lisa Hein said.
Job seekers we spoke with say it was convenient to have the fair focused on local jobs rather than searching the internet for careers all over the country.
