MOREAU, N.Y. -- The mother accused of hiring exotic dancers for her son's 16th birthday party was arraigned in Moreau Town Court.

Judy Viger of Gansevoort pleaded not guilty to five counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She is accused of organizing a birthday party at the Spare Time Bowling Alley in South Glens Falls last November and hiring exotic dancers to perform for her son and his guests.

Police said the two females performed intimate dances for several people at the party, including five who were underage.

The Saratoga County District Attorney's Office says there are no plans to file criminal charges against the dancers or owners of the bowling alley.

Viger faces up to one year in jail if convicted on all counts. She is scheduled to be back in court next month.
