Woman indicted on manslaughter charges
SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Clifton Park woman has been indicted for manslaughter and several other charges following a fatal crash that happened last year.
Traci Briskin has been accused of running a stop sign in Charlton in November of 2012 and hitting a car driven by Thomas Baker, 49, killing him. That crash happened on Jockey Street.
Thursday, a grand jury indicted Briskin for manslaughter, two counts of vehicular manslaughter and two counts of DWI.
Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy says the top count of the indictment, second degree manslaughter, carries a maximum sentence of five to 15 years in prison.
