NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- Cue the holiday music. It's certainly looks a lot like Christmas. Except that it's March. And along Broadway in the City of Newburgh, there was little, if any, holiday cheer. Not with another winter storm for the region.
"I'm tired of it. I'm ready for it to go. Sun come out, so I can enjoy the summertime. This here, I can't do it," said one Newburgh resident.
"I hope this is it. I'm waiting for the summer," said another woman.
By late Thursday afternoon, snow was heavy in the Hudson Valley in most places. Road conditions were wet, but drivers seemed to getting around okay. The jumbo snowflakes actually seemed tougher on those walking the streets.
"This is the last of the snow. I think this is the last," said one man.
One person not at all being slowed down by the latest blast of winter was this man, Arthur Lee King and his trusty bicycle.
"This is an easy riding bike man. This is a Peugeot baby. A Peugeot man. This is the bike you ride," said King.
Apparently in any season.
"Handles well in the snow?" our reporter asked.
"Oh yes, oh yes it does. I got what I call all season grips," said King.
Now while the consensus on the streets is that spring can't come soon enough, in a couple of days, it will be Daylight Savings Time, one extra hour of sunlight. So, come on, those nice long spring days are right around the corner.
