TROY, N.Y. -- A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the grand opening of new loft apartments in Troy. They're located in the historic Keenan building.
The 14 apartments feature one or two bedrooms with lofted ceilings and grand windows. The new apartments are an effort to improve the downtown area.
"So what we're trying to do, obviously, is to bring in housing. We want to bring in commercial use, we want to bring in residential, and bring everything together. It's a collaboration," said Lou Rosamilia, Troy Mayor.
The apartments were built out by Bonaccio Construction, who bought the building last spring. New tenants are now being accepted.
