TOWN OF AMSTERDAM, NY -- Two women are dead and three others are in the hospital, including two young children, after a car crash in the Town of Amsterdam.

Two women in the front seat of that car were killed. Three young children were in the back seat. Amato said two were airlifted to Albany Med, where their condition is unknown. He said the third child was sent to St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam and has since been released.
The driver of the van was also injured and taken to st Mary's hospital. Sheriff Amato said his condition is also unknown.
"The gentlemen gave permission to draw blood results will take a week or two," said Sheriff Amato.
Amato said the license plate of the victim's car was from Ohio. The names and ages of those involved in the accident have not been released.
