Second memorial fund established for crash victims

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. -- A second memorial fund has been set up to help the families of the victims of last weekend's fatal crash on Route 67 in Amsterdam.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputies say Shyara Concepcion, 38, her girlfriend, Tanya Sleight, 33, and Sleight's nine-year-old son, Elijah, were killed when David Bane, 68, crossed over the center line and hit Sleight's SUV.

Concepcion and Sleight died at the scene, and Sleight's son died Wednesday in the hospital.

The latest memorial fund is called the Tanya and Elijah Sleight and Shyara Concepcion Memorial Fund and donations can be made at any Adirondack Trust Bank branch. An account has also been set up at Citizens Bank to help cover funeral and medical costs.
