SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Saratoga Springs Mayor Scott Johnson said he will not be seeking reelection to a fourth term this November.
In a statement released Saturday, Mayor Johnson said, “It has been an honor and privilege to serve our City as your Mayor. I’m proud that we were able to restore integrity and professionalism to the Office of the Mayor, coupled with common sense principles that remain tried and true."
Mayor Johnson first took office in January 2008. He will serve out his third term, which ends in December.
In his statement, Johnson said both he and his wife, Julie, will remain active in the community and continue in public service.
