Many joined the festivities at Albany's St. Patrick's Parade

Albany hosted it's 63rd St. Patricks Parade Saturday. Beginning at Quail Street and making its way East down to Pearl Street, Central Avenue was the place to be for parade goers. Our Karen Tararache was there to see how people of all ages got together to celebrate the Feast of St. Patrick.

ALBANY, N.Y.-- St. Patrick's Day is probably the only time of year you'll see so much green everywhere; but, for most people it is "mainly it's a good reason for us to get together to join each other's company," Albany resident, Jim Lansing said.

That seemed to be the theme with everyone YNN spoke to whether they were Irish or not.

Regardless of nationality, almost everyone out on Central Avenue Saturday was waiting for the parade.

Pipers, drummers, the Albany Police Department, the Fire Department, and even Mayor Jennings joined the festivities.
