ALBANY COUNTY, N.Y. -- The University at Albany men will take on Duke in the NCAA tournament.

Plenty of excitement poured out of the Hall of Fame room in SEFCU Arena on Sunday from players and fans.

The15th-seeded University at Albany Great Danes learned that they will head to Philadelphia, where they will take on the second seeded Blue Devils on Friday.

Coach Will Brown said his team is excited for the chance to play in the tournament, on a court relatively close to home.

"I think we'll draw well, I don't know how many tickets we get. We'll have a good Albany crowd there. We're going to make the most of the opportunity and we're excited about it,” said Brown.

University at Albany punched their ticket to the Big Dance after beating Vermont on Saturday.

A start time for Friday's game has not yet been announced.
