MASSACHUSETTS -- Millions of dollars in tax refunds are waiting to be claimed in Massachusetts.

The IRS said about 23,000 people who didn't file returns in 2009 have tax refunds waiting for them.

Officials said they have to file by April 15th to collect refunds.

About half of the refunds are about $572 each.

Officials said some people may not have filed returns because they didn't have enough income to file a return, even though taxes were withheld from wages.

If a refund is not claimed within three years, it goes back to the government.

To find out if you have a refund waiting, just go to irs.gov or call 1-800-TAX-FORM.
