ALBANY COUNTY, N.Y. -- Albany County Sheriff’s Deputies arrest two people that they said were caught with a stolen handgun during a traffic stop.

Deputies said Lorenzo Howard Knoregay, 31, and his passenger Daquan Charles, 21, were pulled over on Albany Street in the Town of Colonie around 3 a.m. Sunday morning.

Deputies said they found an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and a loaded handgun, which deputies said was stolen out of Watervliet.

Both men were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and drinking alcohol on the highway, among other charges.

They are both being held at Albany County Jail without bail.
