SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The jury will be back deliberating Wednesday morning in the trial of James Wells. He's the man accused of killing Schenectady High School basketball star Eddie Stanley.

Prosecutors argue Wells killed Stanley at a house party in June of 2011, following a fight over missing car keys. He's faces eleven charges, including second degree murder.

The jury received the case Tuesday afternoon, but did not reach a verdict before wrapping up for the day.

It's been a long process for the jurors, who heard about six weeks of testimony, but it's also been an anxious wait for the family members of both Wells and Stanley.

“I'm confident that we're going to get back a guilty verdict. So it's been rough, it's been hard, it's been tough, sitting here looking at him. It's horrible, but we have to end now,” said Tanisha Stanley, the victim’s mother.

“Nervous, I mean, you know, his life hangs in the balance, in the next few hours, to the next couple of days, so he's real nervous,” said Cheryl Coleman, Wells’ defense attorney.

The jury will return at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
