VICTORY, N.Y. -- Voters in the Village of Victory have rejected a proposal that would have dissolved the village.
Had the proposal passed, the village would have become part of the Town of Saratoga, but it was voted down by a nearly two to one margin.
Many said the loss of village services, like waste removal, would have ended up costing the average resident more, but others argued the dissolution actually would have ended up lowering taxes.
