SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- A little bit of Broadway will be lighting up the Electric City. Proctors has announced the Broadway shows that will be in Schenectady for their 2013-2014 season.
Local leaders, Broadway personalities and our own Kate Welshofer announced which shows will be coming off the "Great White Way" and into Proctors. The shows coming this season include "Sister Act," "Ghost" and the war-drama "War Horse."
The crew says it takes a lot of team work to bring the star horse, Joey, to life.
"What these guys do together as a team, and it’s divided as head, heart and hind. Each of them working together, not being able to speak to one another, but actually getting to know each other and doing so where a breath tells them something to do," said Scott Tucker.
Curtains will be up on the first show on May 28th, with the "Phantom of the Opera."
The Broadway series will end in March of next year with "The Book of Mormon."
