BLOOMINGBURG, N.Y. -- An Orange County home was destroyed after a fire.
Officials say the fire happened on Edson Drive in Bloomingburg Thursday morning. Officials say the fire started on the front porch and made its way up the siding to the roof and attic.
The fire took about an hour to put out with the help of multiple fire stations.
"There is no reason to believe it was suspicious. It took us a while to extinguish the whole fire due to the extensive damage to the structure and to preserve the safety of the firefighters," said Bullville Assistant Fire Chief William Bacon.
The homeowners were home at the time, but managed to get out safely.
Officials say the home is a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
