HERKIMER, N.Y. -- The Herkimer County District Attorney says the suspect in last week's deadly shootings had nearly 100 extra rounds of ammunition with him when he died.
Kurt Myers is accused of shooting six people, killing four, last Wednesday, before hiding out in an abandoned hotel bar until early the next morning.
The DA says Myers was well armed during the stand off, with 50 live shotgun rounds on or near him in the building, and another 45 rounds in his Jeep.
That's on top of any rounds he had already fired, both at his victims, and police during the standoff.
When state police and the FBI moved in, Myers shot and killed an FBI K-9.
Investigators are still looking for a motive in the shootings.
