UNITED STATES -- Lifetime Television Network has won an appeal to air its movie based on Christopher Porco, who killed his father and injured his mother with an axe in their Delmar home.
A New York State Appeals Court lifted a ban on airing Lifetime's original movie after a judge on Wednesday temporarily prevented the movie from airing. Porco wanted to stop the movie, saying the network needed permission to use his name, since the movie represents a fictionalized account of the 2004 crime.
The movie, "Romeo Killer: The Chris Porco Story" will now air on Lifetime as originally planned this Saturday at 8 p.m.
