Heat and Humidity Continues
Cooler For the Weekend
High pressure will continue to provide hot and humid weather with afternoon temperatures reaching the lower 90s. A cold front just about reaching the St Lawrence will fire a few showers well north before it retreats northward again overnight, leaving us muggy but not as hot Friday with clouds increasing well north of Hurricane Earl. Right now it looks like rain from Earl will stay mainly to our south and east later Friday and Friday night. At the same time a cool front from the west will get absorbed into Earl's circulation with minimal showers for us. Cooler and less humid air filters in during Saturday with a few showers, mostly north and west of the Capital Region and in the mountains. Look for mainly dry weather and temps slowly recovering during the remainder of the holiday weekend.
