New program for traveling military personnel
Too often, soldiers aren't shown appreciation for their service until after they've put their lives on the line for our freedom. But thanks to a special new program at the Albany International Airport, they'll get plenty of thanks this holiday season and beyond. Our Solomon Syed joined us from the airport with more on what they're doing to keep members of our armed forces are taken care of while they travel.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- A new program will give military personnel a place to call home if they are stranded while traveling.
Albany County airport authority and BBL hospitality announced they will give free hotel rooms to soldiers whose flights are delayed or canceled. This program is in memory of 19-year-old Saratoga High School graduate, David Taylor Miller who died this summer in Afghanistan.
"It's so fitting that we are doing this dedication as we approach Thanksgiving. Taylor would have been home now. Taylor loved family and friends and nothing made him happier than hosting get togethers with old and new friends," said Leslie Forbert-Miller.
BBL will also provide free transportation for these personnel to make their rescheduled flights.
