SELKIRK, N.Y. -- Bethlehem Police have identified a man whose body was found off of Route 9W in Selkirk on Sunday.

Officials said George Flannery Jr., 46, was found about 30 yards from Route 9W in a wooded area south of Route 396. Police confirmed it was Flannery through fingerprints.

Flannery was reported missing to state police in Saratoga earlier this month by his sister in West Virginia who said she had not heard from him since March.

Police said Flannery was a transient who would travel back and forth from West Virginia to the Capital Region often.
