Ceremony of Remembrance
ALBANY, N.Y. -- To lose a loved one is painful enough, but when that lost is due to senseless violence, it hits home that much harder.

In honor of National Crime Victims’ week, Albany County officials and loved ones of those who died in violent crimes came together to pay tribute to those have passed on.

"As a result of our families tragedy, I did learn many things about human nature. I unfortunately saw the worst that humanity brings," said Desiree Jennings McAllister, grandmother of Kathina Thomas.
