CAPITAL REGION -- The reward being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for wrapping a dog in duct tape and leaving her in a plastic bag in Saratoga County is now up to $7,000.
Hunters found the 4-year-old beagle named Daisy in a swamp in Providence on Nov. 8. She had been missing from her home since Oct. 22. A pet microchip allowed authorities to locate her owners, and Daisy is now back home.
The New York State Humane Association announced Monday that there is now a total of $3,500 pledged and donated to NYSHA's reward fund for Daisy. The Humane Society of the United States has pledged $2,500, and a friend of the family has pledged $1,000.
Anyone with information that could help lead to an arrest is asked to call the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office at (518) 885-6761.
