WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Williamstown police said no charges will be filed after suspended Schenectady Police Officer John Lewis was injured in Berkshire County Wednesday night.
Williamstown police responded to North Adams Regional Hospital after they were notified that Lewis was being treated for what appeared to be a knife wound to the chest.
Lewis told police the injury he sustained was an accident. He was later treated and released.
Lewis has been arrested multiple times since November 2008 on harassment, stalking, criminal mischief and DWI charges. This week he was arrested on charges that he hacked into his former wife's email account and made threats against her. He's facing felony charges of eavesdropping, computer trespass and computer tampering, as well several misdemeanor charges. He's been suspended from the Schenectady Police Department for 30 days without pay in connection to the most recent arrest.
