ALBANY, N.Y. -- Four young men from Knox who are accused of blowing up a turtle in 2008 and videotaping the incident were arraigned in Albany County Court on Wednesday.

Seth Pincher, 17, Tyson Pincher, 26, Jefferey Robert, 24, and Michael Robert, 22, pleaded not guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fifth-degree conspiracy, and overdriving, torturing and injuring an animal.

According to the indictment, they affixed an explosive bomb to a turtle and detonated it, which killed the animal. Six teens were taken into custody back in September when investigators said they found the explosives and the video while searching the home of one of the teens.

Assistant Albany County District Attorney Jarrod Sanford said, "The fact that this animal was in our estimation tortured before it was exploded into several pieces, obviously that's something that outweighs the interest of these defendants who of course did this of their own accord and their own volition, and the video shows enjoyed themselves quite a bit."

Seth and Tyson Pincher are also facing additional weapons possession charges.
