Amazing Amanda: Living with a terminal illness
On November 12th, 2008, Amanda Perrotta, 16, of Troy lost her battle with mitochondrial disease, something doctors know little about. Amanda kept a diary of her experiences with the disease up until her death. Her goal was to educate the world on how to live a positive life with a terminal illness. That book is now published. Amanda's mom, Jackie, joins us from our newsroom to talk more about the book: "Amazing Amanda: My Journey Through Mito".
