Mother of fallen soldier rules out suicide
There's a chance we may never know what happened to Staff Sergeant Amy Seyboth Tirador. She's the local soldier who was killed in a non-combat incident in Iraq last November. The military is leaning toward a suicide ruling, but Tirador's mom says there is no way her daughter killed herself. Our Erin Connolly joined us from outside the American Legion Post in Albany where Tirador's mom spoke earlier Thursday.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The mother of Staff Sergeant Amy Seyboth Tirador is speaking out about her daughter's death.
Colleen Murphy says that Tirador, who was killed in a non-combat related incident in Iraq last November, did not kill herself. However, right now, she says the military is leaning toward a suicide ruling.
Murphy claims that it was a setup, and is frustrated by the military's changing stories. She says the military tells her that Tirador came home from a dayshift to hang out at the barracks with her husband, who was in the same unit as her. She left after half an hour and her body was discovered 17 hours later in a generator room. Murphy insists she will get to the bottom of this.
"It was a setup. In my opinion, this is my opinion. Mom's opinion. This was premeditated and it was a setup. And it was a perfect setup for a suicide," Murphy said.
Murphy also says the military originally told her that Tirador suffered a single gunshot wound to the back of the head. Now they say it was to the temple.
As the military continues to investigate, Murphy has hired a private investigator and an attorney.
