COLONIE, N.Y. -- Colonie Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at the Hannaford on Wolf Road.
Police say a man entered the store and approached an employee at the service desk. He gave her a note demanding cash, but the employee didn't have any access to money and the man left the store on foot without taking anything. He never showed or mentioned a weapon.
The man is described as a white male in his mid 30s, around 6-feet tall and 185 pounds. Witnesses say he short hair and an unshaven face and was wearing dark glasses, a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black sneakers and hat.
Witnesses say the man drove off in a light colored pickup truck, possibly a Dodge Dakota. That matches the same description of a man who robbed the Hannaford in Latham on February 25th.
If you have information about either robbery, you're asked to call Colonie Police.
