BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo real estate developer Carl Paladino has announced his candidacy for governor. Paladino joins Rick Lazio and Steve Levy as the third republican to enter the race.
The 63-year-old is hoping to earn Conservative Party backing, as well as the GOP nomination over the other two republican candidates.
Paladino talked about creating and running a Tea Party line in the general election and cleaning up Albany.
"There come a time when enough is enough, we've allowed the unchecked growth of a reckless ruling class in New York State, they defy the constitutional principle that public servants are elected or appointed to serve the people," Paladino said.
Paladino is pledging up to $10 million of his own fortune to fund his campaign.
