Town of Coeymans supervisor arrested on arson charges
COEYMANS, N.Y. -- The Town of Coeymans supervisor is arrested on arson charges. The Albany County District Attorney's office is charging Supervisor Henry Traver with arson in the third degree.
They say he intentionally set fire to his Jarvis Road home back in April of 2008, but the house was uninsured, and Traver never tried to file any insurance claims. At the time of the fire, he was not yet town supervisor.
Coeymans Police say new information about the case surfaced just this week, leading to Traver's arrest.
