BRUNSWICK, N.Y. -- Supporters of 20th Congressional District candidate Chris Gibson held a rally Saturday in Rensselaer County.

The Republican and retired Army Colonel is running for the seat currently held by Democrat Scott Murphy, who has yet to announce if he'll seek re-election. And with the support of all ten county chairs in the district, Gibson is holding rallies to organize community support.

"What we're doing is listening. We have an opportunity to hear firsthand from what these constituents are concerned about and I'll tell you they are concerned. They feel alienated from their government. The government doesn't represent them, doesn't listen to them," Gibson said.

Gibson says a major point of his campaign is to put power back in the hands of citizens.
