ALBANY, N.Y. -- More evidence was presented against Devon Calliutt in day seven of his murder trial. The prosecutor read two letters Callicutt allegedly wrote while in prison. The prosecution plans to have them entered into evidence Friday.

The letters were confiscated after Callicutt was put on special mail watch at a mid state correctional facility. Each contain paragraphs about his life after Bailey was killed. One even details an interview with an Albany investigator about this case.

"If the jury believes that these are letters in the defendant's own handwriting, it's almost stronger than a confession to the police," said legal analyst Paul DerOhannesian

But Defense Attorney Cheryl Coleman argues someone else wrote these letters. She even suggested Deputy Inspector General Christopher Martinello wrote them. He broke the seal on the evidence bag containing the letters.

Surveillance video of the night Bailey was killed showed two men matching the description of Callicutt and one of his alleged accomplices who testified Wednesday. Cell phone records from a cell tower less than a block away show Callicutt made and received calls that night near the scene of the shooting.
