ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany police are investigating a shooting on First Street. A man was shot in the leg in front of the house at 67 First Street shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the victim doesn't live at that address, but was walking on the street when the shot was fired. Authorities have yet to release the man's name. He was taken to Albany Med with what's described as non-life threatening injuries.
Police are now talking to witnesses and following up on several leads.
"Possibly a car involved or seen leaving from the shooting scene. He was taken to Albany Medical Center. We're looking for witnesses and canvassing the area. That's all the details we have at this point right now," said Albany Public Safety Spokesman Jimmy Miller.
If you have any leads or information, you're asked to call the Albany Police Department.
