ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany Police continue to investigate an early morning stabbing that has left one man dead.
Police say they received a call for help on Second Street just before 4 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived, they found two men who had been stabbed.
Both were taken to Albany Medical Center, where one later died of a stab wound to the stomach. The other victim was treated and released.
Police say they are still unclear as to how the men were wounded.
“Early indications were that it was some kind of party, whether it was a birthday party or not and there was a large fight inside and both individuals got stabbed,” said James Miller, Albany Police spokesman.
Police are not releasing the victim's name at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
