ALBANY, N.Y. -- Police and college officials are reaching out to students in the area of Hudson and Ontario as they continue to search for anyone with information regarding who damaged cars and other pieces of property last Saturday. Police and college officials would like that same community to be mindful of their actions.

Officials are handing out flyers warning them against this type of behavior. They are also pushing for those involved to try and create a respectful relationship with their surrounding neighbors.

"You have to understand, the university does not have the control that it does on campus. We do what we can, we're very cooperative with the police, the neighborhood," said UAlbany Personal Safety Director Thomas L. Gebhardt.

"We've offered to have a cleanup done, we understand that the neighborhood's not in the best of conditions right now and we'd like to make it better," said UAlbany student Chris McKessy.

Both UAlbany and the Albany Police Department have said that those people involved in the riots will be held accountable for their actions.
