ALBANY, N.Y. -- The budget may have been passed smoothly in Albany, but the protests leading up to the late-night lawmaking did not.

Daniel Lang, 33, of Crown Heights, was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon and harassment. State Police say Lang came up behind a senate staffer and struck him in the head with a cymbal. He was issued an appearance ticket and was told to never reenter the Capitol.
