There's never a good or appropriate time to find graffiti, but on a church, finding it on Easter is some timing. Our Erin Vannella has more.

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. -- Guilderland police are investigating a graffiti incident at Christ the King Church over the Easter weekend.

Police said it happened sometime after 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the church on Sumter Avenue. The graffiti was made on the building and a statue of Jesus located on the side of the building.

Father Jim Fitzmaurice said, "I don't take it personally against Christ the King parish or church. I think just the fact that we're here and somebody had too much on their hands and didn't know what to do with it. The biggest thing I'm upset about is the statue. That's obscene what they did to the statue. That's certainly hateful."

Anyone with information is asked to call the Guilderland Police Department at (518) 356-1501.
