TROY, N.Y. -- The Troy Public Library District's budget failed at the hands of voters. The $1.1 million budget for 2012 called for a 15 percent tax increase.

The budget failed by only 20 votes. There were 321 nos and 301 yes votes.

Voters also voted for their library trustees: Jim Corsaro received 213 votes and Courtney DeNobile received 274 votes.
